2010 Ryder Cup
More than just a three day event...
Golf enthusiasts may know of a little contest in the golfing world called the Ryder Cup. In 2010, Wales will host the prestigious Ryder Cup at the Celtic Manor Resort, Newport, South Wales.
From the 28th September – 3rd October 2010 Wales will be golf crazy as team Europe take on the current holders the USA on the first Ryder Cup course that’s purpose-built for players and spectators.
The Twenty Ten Course measures a robust 7,493 yards off the back tees and has a par of 71. It will challenge the world’s best golfers with extensive water features and has six signature holes the 3rd, 5th, 6th, 14th, 15th and 18th.
In the run up to 2010, we are staging a “Summer of Golf” every year. This top-quality programme of events attracting world-class players has transformed the golfing calendar throughout Wales.
